Oklahoma MS Duckers

Postby huntersmky » Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:17 am

I talked to our boys (greenhead22, lawdog, trappey, todo) out in Oklahoma hunting turks. Lawdog has killed two already and everyone else was still on the hunt. They said the terrain is beautiful and its so many birds around that it will make you sick. Trappey said he saw 17 birds in one flock strutting. I'm ready to see the pics from GH's and LD's camera. Alec said he had some great pics to share with us when they return.

Hunter

Vickers, I know you are sick that you are sittin in Brandon right now.

Yeah and I had a big bird at 30 yds late yesterday. Lucky for him though he was surrounded by 25 hens.

Only internet we have out here is the WiFi at the store. These cell towers have crappy internet service.

On the way back with 8 birds in the cooler. The outfitter said it was hard hunting, but it was better than any eastern hunt I've ever had by a long shot. Ever seen 100 birds strutting in a field? I have.

Awesome place to hunt birds! Me and ToDo went out this morning and after a little calling we had a lone gobbler give come in struttin and gobblin lookin for love. All he found was TODo's number 6's in his head at 50 yards. I killed my first double yesterday so it was a pretty good day to say the least.

First morning saw the most turkeys ive ever seen in my life, never seen over 30 birds struttin, gobblin and trying to heard up their ladies for the morning. Def going back
