Re: If you work for entergy...
worst thing anyone would want is someone over worked working on a power line or gas line, they have to rest too

dude...I am ashamed to see the MSU logo beside that message. I would expect more class from an MSU fan.
Re: If you work for entergy...
My uncle worked for Entergy for years, actually it was MP&L back then. He is now a supervisor with another utility contractor. One of my favorite stories by him is when he was a lineman working an ice storm in Jackson back in the 80's. He was at the Shoney's by Metro Center I think, and him and his crew were having breakfast after pulling something like a 36 hour shift. A man walks over to his table and says, "If you guys can find time after your busy breakfast, I live on Woody drive and would like my power turned back on". My uncle looks at this terd and says, "Mister if I go anywhere besides where my supervisor tells me, then I will go to 1815 Woodville drive where my wife and two daughters are sitting in the dark freezing their asses off."

Life's too damned complicated to make it too damned complicated
Re: If you work for entergy...
CBrown....you would be surprised how often something like this happens........some jacklegs don't understand that decision making skills quickly diminish after 16 hours of labor intensive work.....how many people want their (bros, fathers, uncles, sons, nephews) working in high voltage when they are dog tired and their 'thinking caps' are wore out? Not me, but you have those that do.....trust me, it happens more than you think......

Word to the wise never post while frustrated with the power company. I'm laughing at it now. Once they arrived they had it on in 5 minutes.

I dont know about Hernando, but it hit us in Olive Branch pretty hard. I lost three trees and a wooden fence. it was a little more than just a thunderstorm. Funnel cloud was spotted in Lake Cormorant and moved up through Southaven....MSDawg870 wrote:Get off the damn computer and get your booty to work. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.
