Mud Motor Question

Postby Seymore » Fri Apr 08, 2011 10:06 am

I'm posting this here to maybe get more response although it probably belongs in the waterfowl section. Anybody got any experience with the Mudbuddy Hyperlites? I'm looking at maybe the 14 for a little aluminum boat. Any one know of a dealer around where I could maybe look at one or is it all off the internet now?

Oh and I went by and seen your boat and the flotation is in and they were tracing out your floor. Looking good man!

Mudbuddy has no idea what customer service is. If there is a problem
just hopefully you will be able to fix the problem yourself because all they
do is play the blame game and its never their fault

Look at the Cooperhead mud motors. They are a small surface drive like you are looking for.

I have zero experience with mud motor so if this sounds like a stupid question consider the source. Would power trim be that big a deal on something like a copperhead? I can see where some big booty 20 HP on up would be tough getting it right but would it be hard to adjust the kob for trim on something as lite as the Copperhead? I'm pushing a 1436 jon boat rated for just 15 HP so we ain't talking no decked out War Eagle here. Just a real lite jon boat.

I will NEVER have another mud buddy surface drive. I think they still build the best long tail motors, but I wouldn't own a surface drive of theirs.
