getting ready to sod and seed my new yard. I have about 2 acs to get done. My wife wants centipede. Abslolutely no trees at all to work around. Give the pros and cons of centipede vs bermuda - please

Bermuda is a higher maintenance grass meaning needs more cutting etc and I believe less drought tolleranr. But you can spray it with msma and That kills everything but Bermuda. We sell a hybrid called tifton419 not sure where you can get the seed for that

Cent is a grows somewhat slower than Bermuda has a wider blade doesn't show imperfections as bad...

They are both great choices just personal preference

in 2003, I bought 32 pallets for $55 /pallet... how in the world has it more than doubled in price in 8 years? Are there less sod farms now than there were then? Is it all because of diesel and fertilizer?

In 2003 diesel was cheaper than gas. Gas was $1.50 or less. Fertilizer in 2007 and 2008 went crazy as he!! And finally diesel is $4. Be glad that it hasn't quadrupled I guess.

I just found a place that has good looking Tifton 419 for $75 a pallet. A guy down the street just had his hole yard done and it is good looking grass.

Front yard has been done for a while and just finished the backyard 2 weeks ago.

skywalker being your from al you are closer to the farms so you prob get cheaper price.

Delta you sure thats tifton or a hybrid bermuda and not just common bermuda?
