Tritronics or Dogtra
In your personal opinion which one of the electronic collars is better, beacuse they are priced relatively similar. Thanks in advance.

Go register on http://www.refugeforums.com/refuge if you already aren't and contact Larry Brem "roxie". Send him a PM telling him what you want and that you are a refuge forum member and you'll get $30 bucks off plus free shipping, ordered mine Monday.
The Dogtra's are the way to go.........now have a 2 yr warranty. My dad has 3 sets of tri tronics and they will not keep charge.........and won't work when you need them too.

tritronics has a 2 yr warranty now as well. Like I said you can't go wrong with either one. Sport 50s for $240. Not a fantastic "deal" but average. Lemme know if you are interested in something like that. Or if you are interested in something with a few more bells and whistles I'll have to check on the price of the particular one you are interested in. The sport 50s has a "nick" and a constant or "burn" button. They also incorporated a N setting which sends NO signal at all if accidentally pressed....say you are sitting in boat dog has collar on and you lean over to pick something up and the remote in your collar gets pressed up against something and the button gets pushed...no signal is sent to your dog. Believe me an accidental shocking of your dog can be very detrimental to his overall collar conditioning. Some collars automatically cut the signal off after 7 seconds, but with that it may be too late, and some collars don't even have a cutoff...they just burn til you let the button go.

Hey SBE.............go to http://www.collarclinic.com
My dad sent off a 2 collar system a couple of months ago to get reworked, new batteries, rebuilt transmitter......etc............spent $300........got it back.........worked about a week..............dead again...
I think dad got so pissed that he said screw them.........wasn't going to send it back again if they couldn't get it right the first time.

Have to agree with MSBigdawg 1234.... I have the Dogtra 1200NC & have beencompletely satisfied. The transmitter is not big, nor does it roll around. I've had mine a little over a year and have had NO problems.
It holds a charge really well... probably haven't re-charged but about 3 times. Comes with a padded case, charger that will charge both collar &
transmitter at the same time, test light, & instructional video. The video was not that great though.
I have a hunting-buddy with the sport-50 & he likes it ok.
I think the Dogtra 1200 is a heavier duty more reliable collar than the Sport-50. Both the transmitter & collar on the 1200 are WATERPROOF.
For the extra cabbage (it's not that much), I think you'd be better off with
the Dogtra.
I'm sure tri-tronics has other models that are comparable, I just haven't had the opportunity to use them.

I use the sport 50........I like the fact of the adjustable levels at your finger tips also the "N" setting so there is no OOPPPS I didnt mean to hit that button...... besides that option comes in handy when CC a pup before they are ready to be corrected.....so they can wear the collar while training at the FUN age........also has a WARNING TONE or use it as an ATTA BOY tone as I do........(dont believe in waring when pup knows what I mean)
Thanks

I think any of these collars mentioned will do the job as for corrections. The question is are you going to be just training with it or hunting with it . The Dogtra 1200NC is WATERPROOF. If you are fowl hunting everything at one time or another is going to hit the water. As for the money the Dogtra 1200NC for $270 to your door is the biggest bang for the buck.
