No, he wouldn't. 4 joints will not amount to keeping some detained in a prison cell. A heavy fine and possible court appearance, but its not like he would be in a turkish prison for 3 years before anyone ever hears from him again.

Benny... you forgot to mention that if "you" smoked a couple of doobies and put a couple in your sock for the ride home and you got stopped, you could be charged with the same thing, DUI other (meaning other substance) which would land you in jail for the night, your fine would be the DUI plus the illegal possession charge and be on your record for good too.

I went through chemo and had no problem with appetite. Actually gained 15 pounds! But if your example of getting a prescription is actually for your friend, then you wouldn't have to sneak it in from Jamaica. If you have a medical prescripition, shouldn't have to "import" any medicinal marijauna.

A DUI and Possession charge (under 30 grams) are both misdemeanors... one is not more serious than the other. One will cost you more than the other, but they are both misdemeanors.

Don't know how they processed you at the airport, but I can assure you that you have a record now. They took down your name and all your vitals and I'm sure they gave you a receipt for your payment and all this is recorded somewhere no matter what you think. I'm sure in a few weeks I can run your name and SSN through the NCIC (National Crime and Infomation Center) computer and it will show the charge.
If they didn't give you a receipt or write down your name and stats...then you got took... literally.

Maybe your friend does have cancer, but I seriously doubt it. Even if she did, you would need more than 4 joints to do her any good. If she needs it that bad, why only 4? Why not 5 or 6? The penalty is no steeper for 6 than it is 4. As long as you are under a half oz, you're ok. I've seen a half oz rolled into 4 joints, but you couldn't hide them in your sock.

It primarily helps with the sickness associated with post chemo treatment and has a mild effect as a pain reliever. It does have an effect on apetite, but this is only a SMALL side benefit and manifests itself in less than 50% of patients.
