This is the new A391 3.5 it is a sweet and very smooth shotgun. If a gun could replace the SBE this is the gun. Very sweet.

I got one of the first one's out! When you put a man named P. Beretta on the best duck hunt ever you get nice things in the mail.

Did you try it out on the skeet range? Cause' I know you didn't get to shoot it at many ducks!!! haha! Talk to ya later.

I think they will be out on the open market in Feb. Cost is going to be about $900-$1000.
Black, all weather proof. Supposed to be better and heavy duty.

Mag.
I had to defend one of your duck holes against those geese. 3.5 BBB It's like shooting lite target loads. It will shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger!!

WELL, LET'S HOPE IT'S BETTER THAN THE SBE, IT WOULDN'T TAKE MUCH TO REPLACE THAT ONE.I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'VE MADE ANY IMPROVEMENTS OR NOT,BUT I GOT ONE WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT, AND I HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE.BROKE THE EJECTOR PIN TWICE IN 1 MONTH, AND SENT IT BACK, TOOK 2 MONTHS TO GET IT. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I'M BACK WITH OLD FAITHFULL 870

900-1000 could buy 3 moss 835's and they are the best for duck hunting. we got 4 of them and they are still going strong. clean it once during the season and that is it!!! we have had them for 7 years or so . no problems at all and they have been in water ,mud, thrown in the truck or boat and keep on ticking w/o checking up!!

My $699.00 Winchester SX2 is a pretty good gun as well. I just can't shoot a $1000 gun in the mud and water of a duckhole.

Ok, guns can cost from just about nuthin' to an arm and a leg. There are markets for all of these guns, divided into price brackets. Let's say a Mossberg 835 and a Remington 870 are in the same price bracket, a Beretta AL390 and a Browning Gold are in another bracket. As of right now there is nothing to compete with the SBE in the $1000 bracket, hence the new Beretta. They are not building this gun to compete with the less expensive Mossbergs and Remingtons-they are building it to compete w/ the SBE and widen the market. And believe it or not, people will buy guns that cost $1000; it is kind of like the afore mentioned price brackets, you have people that can afford a nicer gun, so they do. We all know that a 250 dollar pump will kill ducks just like a 1000 dollar semi-auto, but that 1000 dollar semi-auto is made with much better materials (that is why it cost more) that will (if taken care of properly) last longer and perform better. So let's not open the "whose gun is better" can o' worms.

Mean Mallard,
I am a SBE man. You love them or you hate'em.
The Xtrema I have will be put to the test this season. The grips are different. You really need to look and feel for yourself. I hope it perform's all season like I think it will. If nothing else I have a new sporting clays gun.
My SBE will never be far from the blind.

Why don't you post a pic of it. And I am with GH22 for once that is stupid to market a gun one month after all the seasons have closed.

It doesn't matter if your marketing guns or field cultivators. Every manufactorer has an engineering department and a marketing department.
The marketing department wants the product yesterday and the engineering department doesn't want to release anything until it's perfect, which is impossible.
For all we know this gun was supposed to be released 6 months ago and it failed field testing. Conversly this gun may have been meant to be released next fall but it has far exceeded it's field testing so it will be released earlier.
Perhaps DD is field testing it for Beretta. Manufactorers build prototypes and secretly test for days, months even years. Eventually a point is reached where a large number of prototypes are built and put into the hands of potential customers who can put the product through the type of conditions the engineering department wants to see. While this is going on the maketing department is measuring interest in the product and looking for key feature and benfits to promote.
At the end of the day the goal is to have the most reliable product priced at the highest amount the market will bear.
