We ate at Flounders and the place across from it. Both owned by same company. Food was decent but atmosphere was cool, especially for kids if you have them with you.
There's a great Pizza place on the boardwalk also.

I ate at Crabs on the beach for afternoon snack of hot wings the other day. The wings were good and it was on the beach.
Take the kids to the pier, off the pier on Monday I saw a bunch of people catch ladyfish, mackeral, and saw bottlenose dolphins and a school of 5 stingrays swimming. It was very cool. I was there by myself though working, wished I'da had my son with me.

MAN! I have not been in Jerry's in over 20 years! Glad it is still open. Great burger or "greasy spoon" place! If it is still in the same place, you go east on 90 away from down town and cross the Bayou Texar bridge and look to your right.marty lee wrote:check out McGuires irish pub! if you want a burger "Jerry's Drive inn" on cervantes street

Gotta make a stop by Joe Patti's on the way out of town. They pack to travel.
The best seafood market I have ever been too. Big selection from all around. If you like seafood you can't miss it. Good thing I don't live closer or I woils be broke.
Last time I was there he had head on 9-12 count shrimp for 5.30 something. Also got yellow fin steaks, you can see the little women in the back carving off the whole primal. Well over 100 lb fish. Neat place to stop even if you don't buy anything!
