We'lll firm up the date when they announce the season. Some years better thna others but has been consistently good for the last 4 years. Lots of water this year, just need a little weather to push them down. We'll have a good time eatring and swapping tales at any rate.

Anat -- Last year the snow geese hit the field in force but was unable to put it together. This year the farmer is in a bind due to losing crops to water. He's planting millet, possibly corn and milo, for ducks and wheat initaially for dove and, later, for the geese. If they hit the field like last year I've arranged a day lease for our group, we'll first shot at them. But we're talking like 7 months away?!

I too would like to get in on that. I gotta be in a wedding one of those weekends; if it is the other, count me in. I am a poor shot, but I bring good whiskey.

Sounds like you're full up for the teal hunt, but I'll be in the area so would love to join you for the cookout. I'll be glad to contribute to DuckSouth.com.

'RR'.....'sounds good......7 months isn't that far off. In the meantime, if any honkers start working that wheat (after it sprouts, of course), let us know and we'll bring the 'honker rig' over. 'Hope ya'll have a great teal hunt.

SB: represent. This group might need a little supervision.

I think the goose situation will be not a problem. I'm sure I can find a field full of them somewhere around here.

If anyone gets out, give me a shout. Duforrester needs all the practice he can get so save him a spot.

Good whiskey, cold beer, and alot of shells. Sounds like fun.
If the birds are flying great, but if not, enjoy the time; at least you're not at work.
