I use to have a lease north of Marvell between the Warrior Woods and the metropolis of Turkey Scratch. In a way I wish I'd never let that place go. We had some great hunts there.

Opening weekend my buds and I are going to be further west of everyone else... we are going to be south of Mulberry on the Arkansas river. Last year we had pretty good luck just south of Clarksville on the river but decided to go to this spot and give it a try. I'm anxious to start the blastin!

I'm sure we'd get the same treatment if we invaded the public land, but we pay money to hunt private so they're glad to see us coming.

There is so much public land, you can squeeze by most of em, and hunting in the middle of the week helps! But i will say this, MS farmers are VERY proud of there pits and fields compared to AR.. Most over there, except around stuttgart are less than half what most farmers over here want!

The comment about pricing changes geograpically is correct. It's a whole different ball game in regards to the difference. About the public land, there are a few places that are to known to avoid, may come back with slashed tires and a turd on your hood. Either that, or switch your license plate when you park

I hear it from both sides and locals ain't always glad to have non-locals around. Public or not. Usually a "we used to hunt there but now it's leased" kinda thing.

I agree with wingy. The farmers we lease from in arkieland prob love it, because we puttin jingle in there pocket. Poor ole broke booty country boy that use to hunt it, prob not so much. I have had that happen to two of my old haunts. For those that have not hunted arkieland, you think ms is bad, take a Sat afternoon drive through NE Ark during season. You are hard pressed to find a rig with Arkansas plates. I know some of those small towns are almost ghostlike when its not hunting season.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?
