if you shoot 30 minutes after your in a world of trouble. if caught every duck in your bag becomes illegal game. shooting hours are 30 minutes before and at sunset.

I posted this under the sunrise/sunset question also. What standard do the game wardens use to say you have to stop shooting in the afternoon? My watch may say 5:00 and the warden's may say 5:05. Who is right? I have also been told that they go by when the sun has went below the horizon. Anyone that has ever talked with the game warden about this let me know what they told you.

If you have any douth, you are more than likely shooting late. A good tell tell is when the ducks really start dropping in it is to late to shoot.

I would think the GW's would use a GPS which should have sunrise and sunset info. It would also use SAT time, which is received from USNO Atomic clocks. Not sure though.

They prolly use the 'El Cheapo Grande Wal-Mart watch due to their salary.

thanks guys, I think your input will be enough to win the "friendly" wager that was agreed upon for this little diagreement, It sounds to me that my hunting buddy has to buy shells for the next hunt.

Talked with two wardens regarding the cut off time. They both agreed they allow five minutes after and said others would too.

Anyone hunting Matthews Brake this weekend?

Email me and I will give you some inside info.

Don't want the world to know.

I generally quit 5 minutes before sunset just to give myself a safe cushion. Any duck that made it through the whole day deserves an extra 5 minutes of rest.
