It is absolutley rediculous that someone cannot ask a simple question as to duck numbers in an area without being harrassed. Many of us hunt and own private land. I live 3.5 hours from my farm and would find migaration information helpful before skipping work and jumping in the truck. I understand people not wanting to discuss specifics about public land, but this site has no purpose if information is not shared.

Serious question....

You guys that "own" land or lease land don't know any local people that hunt? You can't make a phone call or are you too lazy to call them? If you have no local friends perhaps you should change your attitudes or attempt to reach out to some locals. Why go off information from people you don't know?

I will be glad to scout for you out of town guys. $100.00 an hour is fair when you account for diesel and my time.

I see your point. I have always like to hear when the ducks are "here" and see what different people have to say. I don't hunt public land, but I do understand how talking about it brings in too many folks. One of the main reasons I come to this site is to read about different peoples hunts and to get a little fired up when I hear about the birds showing up. I'm sure most guys on here do also.

You know, if you spend enough time around this joint actually reading what people say and getting to know people you can figure out if, when, and where the ducks are. Learn who people are, the areas they hunt, the company they keep. It's called being sociable, something us southerners are supposed to be good at. If the only reason you drop in is to save yourself some time and money, then folks ain't got much for you. Kind of like the friend you don't hear from all year till the night before the opener.

Well. As I have NOT been up to the Greenwood area, Jody, I thought you could give a GENERALIZED answer as you live up that way. It would not hurt anything or anybody to answer like; Yeah, been seeing new birds with this front or ; No. Birds did not show up. Just a 50mi. generalization ya know!
