Joe, you need to shut your damn mouth. You are loosing the few "friends" you had on here by the minute... not that you had that many to begin with anyway. It's getting old, man. Quit making smartasss comments every time the new rule comes up. This rule was created for the benefit of public hunters across the state as a whole. You have always been a fairly good guy outside this place, but you are truly showing your asss right now. Get over it or LEAVE.

Of course you aren't worried about it cause like you said, no one else can hunt your holes. Now if you get on here and say there were ducks all over the place and got 6 limits this morning in xyz county, whether it was a private hole or not, you'd probably at least double the number of groups showing up at every publilc spot within an hour of that county.

At the end of the day, who do you want to help/hurt more....the local guys you are familiar with on this site that have walked, boated and hunted these areas for years, or some cyber duck stalker 3 states over that signed up 5 years ago and has 10 post? You might say I'd see it differently if I leased or owned land, but I don't think I would.

Wow,

I have been on this board for almost 10 years, another log on prior to the hacking, and I don't think I have ever had a post with so much traffic.

Wish I had this much volume on the Travel Trailer I have for sale. :D "Shameless Plug" :D

If anyone wants to meet in greenwood for drinks one weekend that would be great.

Blake, no coot shooting for me. Too expensive plus they taste like booty.

Internet Scouting 101:
Tip #1
Just check the "Pictures" thread. Most people can't help themselves, they have to brag about what they killed. When the number of pictures increase, the ducks are here.

Tip #2
Also, check topics labeled "Look what we killed", or "8 man limit by 7:15", or "Great day hunting", or my personal favorite "The ducks are HERE" Again, when these post increase, the ducks are here.

Tip #3
NEVER ask if the ducks are here. Most people get very upset when someone asks this question and will just complain about internet scouters.

Good Luck

Doc., I agree on the point of not talking about public spots. My point was the way people attacked someone who may NOT have know the "unwritten" rule. They act like they are the arbitrators of all that should go on on this here forum. I was not trying to piss anyone off, just telling them to lighten up. The post about Gator's site was not a slam but on opening day, he told a couple of us that we need to read his blog, so that was an inside joke and I am sure he would like more people to follow his blog. You and your click can discuss this among yourselves. I found out about getting selected for an "unnamed WMA" draw the same day the rule came out. I was about to ask questions about it. If it is a draw, others have to go through the same process as I did to get to go there! I fail to see what the harm would be to ask about the few WMA that are draw only but that is Micah's call and I respect that. IF I OFFENDED ANYONE ON THIS BOARD, LET ME APOLOGIZE NOW! That was not my intent but thought everyone was getting wound way to tight like I am guessing you did.

90% of the time I hunt public land that is draw I am on standby.

Although I'm through hunting standby on delta WMAs. Too far to drive to be assured of having last pick. How's that for increasing hunter participation MDWFP?

I was just informed of this standby situation via PM so I now understand I have never tried to go "on standby" and just 2 weeks ago, applied for a draw! I steered clear of these draws thinking it would be a cluster(you know what)! I figured the state would have it down by now but some tell me otherwise!

I understand from a confidential source that a gadwall was killed near Schlater this morning. I am not at liberty to disclose any additional information. 8)

Hope that helps Tommy.
