Quail hunting with a lab?

Anybody do it? I have 2 labs and was thinking about starting quail hunting.

Be ready to shoot quick. When I had English Pointers I would always take my lab, keep her at heel and send her for retireves because my Pointers were like most Pointers in that they were not strong retireves. It's fun to hunt with two different kind of dogs.
