Re: Snake Boots
I liked my danners as well. Both pairs I've had were comfortable but leaked after bout the second time of wearing. I bought the Muck snake boots to keep from having wet feet. They are a little on the heavy side, but I've got used to them.champcaller wrote:Danner and you'll never buy another boot.

Re: Snake Boots
By far the most comfortable boot or footwear period, that I have ever worn. I have had mine for going on 6 years and no they are not water proof, but I have yet to find a lace up or zipper brand that is. Under ideal conditions turkey hunting is an all day affair for me. The first 4 days I camp in the woods and other than some camp shoes my red heads are worn all day. I cannot overstate how comfortable they are, and I am not a huge redhead fan. One thing I have consistently seen about these boots in reviews is how comfortable they are. I can hang boots over a fire to dry, but that's not a good remedy for aching feet. I don't see them slowing down any this year. These boots are built well.duramax wrote:I was very suprised by how good the Redhead zip up ones are. They are all I wear for deer season too unless it's below 30 degrees. After 5 seasons, they aren't waterproof anymore, but I've put some miles on these things, and they are still super comfortable. Probably will need to buy another pair after this season since the insoles are getting loose.
Another thing I have noticed about them over my lacrosse and rocky boots is how they make neakin' through the woods so much easier. The next best thing is an old pair of sperry mocassins, you n' do some sho nuff neakin' in those.

I haven't picked up a pair yet, but the Redheads are sounding better and better.

My only problem with Danner is they support gay marriage.
Do you support gay marriage? Are you, gay?

no and no. i imagine that if we start filtering through companies of most products we use daily (trying hard-as-we-may not to) we'll find a gross majority of the companies support some form of one of our "ain't gonna nevers"...doesn't mean that i'm looking for them, either, though...sometimes function wins over form, no matter the circumstances behind it.

No, but i support your right to be gay.
Re: Snake Boots
I'm not gay, and I don't care if someone is gay. What do I care if in the Danner boot factory they play "It's Raining Men" and dance around all day. It wouldn't change my mind on buying their boots. If they gave their money to Iranian jihaadist, then I'd care.greenheadgrimreaper wrote:My only problem with Danner is they support gay marriage.

If you don't buy products (especially clothing) from companies that support gay people, then it is going to leave you with a pretty narrow selection of products. Heck I'm sure 90% of the clothes my wife wears was designed by gay dudes.

Re: Snake Boots
I completely fabricated that entire post. But I want to address a few of the comments here that concern me on the direction in which this board is going:

I bought these before bow season. They are very comfortable and Gore tex! The zipper is nice.

Rocky lace ups-lace ups are from the devil. They were waterproof though
Lacrosse slip ons- leaked after about 3 times. Not very comfortable
Chippewa slip ons- leaked from start, not very comfortable
