New beer!!!

Fellas the new craft beers are here. Hit up Hops and Havanas in Madison before they run out of their first shipment. Already been this morning and got the last of the Lazy Magnolia Timber Beast IPA. Snagged two big bottles of Abita Andy Gator, a big bottle of Abita SOS and Abbey Ale, a growler of Yazoo Sue, and some Abita Joacamo IPA.

Hopefully some of the stronger belgian beers will come through as well.

They will have more tomorrow. The two distributors in town will be doling out what they have. Abita and Lazy Magnolia made midnight runs to some places so their stuff would be on the shelf today. Hopefully Fat Tire and Abbey by New Belgium will make it here soon. And Goose Island 313 and Honkers Ale as well.

If they're going to sell good beer.....they need to get ones by 3 Floyd's, Dogfish Head, Rogue, and Stone....oh, and throw in a few Rochefort 8's and 10's.

They have Rogue. Dogfish doesn't distribute to MS (that's their choice, they pulled out of TN recently). I don't think Stone will be in Mississippi this year and 3 Floyds is doubtful.

You can bet they'll have anything that is available in MS. Very outstanding selection.

We pulled in at 12:30 after driving over from Anguilla and all they had left was one shelf of Abita (Andygator, Abbey Ale and DoubleDog 25th Anniversary - Jockamo was gone). All I wanted was the Timberbeast.

The wife ended up with a few ciders she wanted.

When I was in there the Capital City Beverages rep came in and told them he'd go check to see what he had left. So we went to lunch (we went to the wrong place, that's for sure - food and service was awful.) By time we got back the 2nd shipment was gone too.

The Bulldog saved the day - they had TimberBeast (8.5%) and Sue (9.1%) on draft. They had the Abita beers on draft too but I'd already had all of them. I do look forward to finding Jockamo in cans, however.

They're not going to be able to keep up for a while. I intended to go to Hal n Mals but I figured they did a lot more advertising than the Bulldog did and the Bulldog was closer so I thought I'd try it first, lol.

Lazy Magnolia started bottling at 12:01am. They had a bit ribbon cutting ceremony last night.

^^^no, they will be the same as always.

*doesn't mean all beer sold jumps to 10%abv, just that we can buy beer made that does have up to 10%abv, now.

We ought to have a little micro brew tasting from time to time. I know where a few of the ones I mentioned are right now.

I also know where a Westvleteren 12 and a Kuhnenn Raspberry Eisbock are right now.
