Here's a pic of the calls they have on display. I ran into the guy later on who is checking out the calls in the picture, he makes his own calls around the Minden, LA area. Company is called Clear Magic Duck Calls, really nice guy.
Oh, btw, I finally was able to flag down a bps worker/diva to ask him why they had a Chien Caille duck call with the year 1998 written on it for sale for $400 when they are $50 new, and, in general, to see if the calls are actually for sale. He said, "they are not real numbers." Well hotdamn that's news to me! I asked him what the white tags around the calls with the fake numbers were for and he said, "a lot."
I wasn't sure if he was implying that I was too poor to buy any of them or what. So, I said, "what?" He said, "They aren't for sale they are a lot but not for sale." I had no idea what that meant at the time, nor do I know what it means now. I gathered from talking to the beast that they are in fact not for sale. I reported the encounter to the Dept. of Interior's Endangered Species Act division. I will give updates as I find out more. High possibility the Stank Tank species has been rediscovered.
