The Walking Dead
Re: The Walking Dead
Re: The Walking Dead
Well, in the comic series they really didn't talk about it. It was clear that your body would become reanimated upon death, but they never really come out and talk about it being a virus, prion, etc... The TV series spends more time discussing the etiology of the zombie condition than the comic series did, but yes in the comic series Shane's body reanimated after rick puts him down. Interestingly enough, in the comic Shane is killed by Rick early in the story. Tyrese is the character that serves as Rick's wingman through the story.duramax wrote:In the comics, was it the same in that everyone had the disease, and you would turn when you die?fieldt76 wrote:I guess I was right about everyone having the disease, I'll try to not let it go to my head...
Re: The Walking Dead
You can't really use the comic book series as a gauge on how the characters will play out. In the comics Carl lives throughout the story. But a lot of things are different such as Shane. Shane dies right when Rick meets up with the camp at the beginning.tica-tica wrote:somebody needs to shoot the kid in the show... he could screw up a bowling ball. get rid of him and most of their problems are solved.
Re: The Walking Dead
I'm obsessed with this show now...never even watched it until I saw this thread. I bought the first season last Saturday and stayed up til 3am to watch all 6 episodes, I already watched most of the second season on AMC a couple weeks ago when it was on so I started out backwards, ha. There hasn't been a tv show that I actually make time to watch but I definitly will for this one from now on. Here's the season 3 trailer....I'm sure someone posted it somewhere in this thread but figured I'd post it again.

I wondered when Merle was coming back, he showed up as halucinations when his brother fell into the creek in season 2 and he made himself a new hand.

Re: The Walking Dead
I hear ya. Since I started out watching about half way through season two I figured Shane was a complete jacka$$....then I watched the first season and he was completely different and you can see how he changes. The first episode I watched was the one where Shane opened the barn and they mowed down all the zombies so I was pretty confused but still got hooked quick. This show is the only one worth watching - I'm ready for season 3.gator wrote:same here......i fought it a while but this thread got me interested.....after watching it all, i'm fascinated by the characters and the story line, and didn't miss an episode of season 2. can't wait for it to come back on this fall.SNOT wrote:I'm obsessed with this show now...never even watched it until I saw this thread.
