Primos Truth Cam 46 Ultra

Postby deltadukman » Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:25 am

Personal opinions. Yes I have used the search feature, but those are kind of old. Looking to buy one and wanted to see if yall had anything good or bad to say about them.

A friend of mine bought one new last year but it fried on him a month ago. Worked perfect until then - for some reason it wouldn't fully turn on, would act like it was turning on then it would just shut off?? Heard another guy say the same thing happened to his 46. I've got two of the 35's - paid $80 at Wal-Mart for them a couple months ago. One worked perfect for the first month....then it would only take black pics at night. The other has been awesome....checked it Sunday and it had 2400 pics on it from the last 7 days and the batteries lasts alot longer than I thought they would....probably gotten 5000 pics in the last month from that camera and the batteries were still at 85% Sunday.

I think natchex shooting supply has refurbs.

I wouldn't pay for another one. I'm on my 4th warranty replacement now.

That bad? Well for the $150 range, what would yall go with. Im still back in the dark ages with 3 Moultrie D50's that weigh a combined 50-11 lbs with batteries in them and suck unless they are on a corn pile. With the trouble I have with access and walking, I dont want one to keep messing up and having to return and go a week without it in the woods.

How do they do set up on a trail in the woods? I am not seeting up on a corn pile, salt, feed, whatever. Maybe under a pecan or honey locust but not at feeding station.

+1 on the Trophy Cam....you can get the 8mp online for around $170. I've got two and love em. Batteries last forever.

sometimes my trophy cam is too fast. On a trail, I set it on 2 or three shot bursts because I have gotten pictures of deer's noses right as they cross the plain of the camera.

plus bushnell has the best warranty and customer service out there. 2 years on a game camera is pretty good.

I called primos 1-800 number and asked if I could buy some refurbs. We got like 6 or so for me and some guys from deer camp.
