Western 1/2 of the state is much better than the eastern 1/2. Hunting around the SW corner has been kinda slow. I don't know much about the public land. If there is a south wind stay off the river. It boils like a bad mother screecher.
over all it does have some of the coolest river chutes and sloughs in the state.

These are all general references and should be ok

The deer hunting should be good...if not, there are always gar balls and racoons available fo sale off the side of the road...good luck to y'all :wink:

Deer hunting is bout as good as you can get!! Duck hunting is a little different, your gonna have to scout hard to find em!!

I lived there for forty years.... some of the best deer hunting, turkey hunting, duck hunting and fishing around.

Beautiful hardwoods, magnificant sloughs, big ole bucks and longbeards.... let's just say it could be worse.

I think you will enjoy it there... I know I did.

The house fell threw in Natchez so I moved back to Columbus an west point tibbiee kept callin my name just hope the wife can realize she gotta keep the kids an cant go with me every morning
