How can they predict November and December when they can't get next week right half the time?

A weather forecaster is the only job where you can be wrong over 50% of the time and not get fired.

Or someone will walk right into the studio and punch you in the mouth on LIVE TV!
Yep happened in Memphis years ago to Joe Brown. Think the guy was pissed becuase he took off to go fishing and he was told the wrong weather, All I do know is it had to do with fishing

Dave Brown. And there are several different stories as to why the guy did it, but I really did happen.

It needs to start snowing in Canada as well. Hopefully this and some of the upcoming temps are are good signs. Anything has to be better than last year

My Grandad ran into Woody Asaff at a tire store in Jackson sometime back in the 60s and told him he had a goat that could predict the weather more accurately. Asaff took it in good stride and commented during his broadcast that "an old gentleman from Mendenhall told me his goat was a better forcaster than I am, so I guess we'll be checking in with Mr. Smith's goat from now on". Or that's the story I'm told, anyway.
