Ruger P95

I have been looking for a full size 9mm that would not break the bank and researched this gun. Everything I have read seems this pistol is a great gun for the price. Nothing fancy, not particularly "pretty" but reliable. Purchased it Friday and put around 200 rounds through it Saturday.

Anyone put this weapon through the rounds?

I've had one for about 10 years, and never had any problems with it. I can't tell you how many rounds have been through it, but it rode around in the truck with no a/c for years and never failed to fire or hung up whatsoever.

I've had one for 3 years. Convenient and comfortable size but would recommend purchasing a Pachmayr slip-on grip, as it makes it that much more comfortable. Overall great gun hope you enjoy it like I have.

I've never owned one but know folks that do. Good reliable guns. As said they are nothing fancy but do go bang each time. They also double as boat anchors because those jokers are HEAVY!

I had one for about two years. I liked it, but some African decided he wanted to borrow it. So he smashed my window out of my truck and took it. I think I paid $325 for it brand new with 2 clips from Bill's Custom Automatics in Shelby. This was about ten years ago, and I think you can still buy them for about that same price. Mine would jam up every once in a while, but it never got cleaned, stayed in the truck on the farm, dropped in the mud, etc...

$329 at academy. Could not beat that price. y'alls reviews are similar with everything else I've read. Glad to hear that.

I bought one when I lived in Memphrica. I couldn't beat the price (1 month used @ $100) from a co-worker.

I shot at the range weekly for 6 months straight and never had any trouble. I never kept count of rounds, but if I had to guess I'd say no more than 50 at a time.

As mentioned before, get the slide-on grip. It changes the whole feel of the gun! Weight was not an issues as I don't carry it around much.

One more suggestion would be to upgrade to the trijicon sites. They look great in a dark house as I mainly bought the P95 for home defense.

Get you a Fobus paddle holster for it, the paddle slips inside the pant and a clip locks over your belt, good secure carry and keeps it at the forward cant for easy access. Love mine

Hard to go wrong with Ruger.. The biggest issue that you may face is a less then perfect trigger.. That is one area that Ruger is working on.. But they are all good solid guns..
