Bigwater, I remember that very well. I was a diehard Rebel basketball fan during my early days at UM while Weltlich was the head coach. Difference style of basketball --- no shot clock back then. Sean T. could control the temp of games from the point guard position ---slowing it down --- shortening the games, which were always very low scoring. Sean had great ball handling skills and was nearly automatic at the free throw line when the opponent was stupid enough to foul him. With a lead, the Rebels with Sean T. could for sure close out a game. Getting that lead to protect was the problem.you me and maybe a handful of other sports forum members actually remember sean t standing on the rim after the game.. my how time flies
The implementation of the shot clock pretty much was the end of that era of Ole Miss basketball. And pretty much the end of Weltlich's head coaching career ---even after he moved on to coach at Texas.
