Wrap it up

Postby Gunslinger » Tue Apr 02, 2013 2:00 pm

This one was strutting less than 5 yards from me this morning. Had to let him get to 25 before I could move to shoot. My buddy says he cant hear them drum...wish he'd been there because I felt like I was vibrating it was so loud. Nice fat beard and sharp 1" spurs to wrap up my MS season. Hate it because they are just now getting fired up where I hunt. Headed to Kentucky in a couple of weeks. Might get an Alabama hunt in between now and then if I'm lucky.

Might I recommend you hop in that creek for an arryhead hunt?

Congrats on a season that any eastern hunter dreams of.

Same here. Still getting a few gobbles on the roost and then nothing. I believe that by this weekend we will see some pretty good hunts.

congrats. I can not hear them drum either. I hear the initial pfoomp, but cant here the rattle. I know it is crazy.

On a side note, as lucky as you have been, Forget arrowheads in the creek. PAN FOR GOLD! :D
