I'm not surprised one bit, however I suspect our reasons for believing BAMA is #1 in this area differ...
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Reality = Perception

shocking revelation :wink:

What would be really interesting is a detailed breakdown of holding calls, perhaps the most subjective of all calls, and the most devastating to a teams's ability to sustain drives, which affects the outcome of games. And include an analysis of the timing of such calls. My own perception from watching my Rebels play for over 40 years is that the percentage of getting a holding call dramatically increases when we are playing against certain SEC teams, the score is close, and we are on the opponents side of the 50 yard line.

Based upon the inconsistent way these calls are made, I would suggest a more objective standard --- the same standard applied to certain SEC teams. For a holding call to be made, the offensive player must latch onto and bring down (tackle) the defensive player, AND the hold must affect the outcome of the play (eg. no holding call if it occurs on other side of field from the ball carrier). And the call should be reversible upon review IF the hold is not blatantly obvious. These changes, IMO, would create a level playing field in the SEC. Thus, it's not gonna happen. :wink:

The good news is, it only happened a few times.
