Been huntin' in the general area of Marks and it's been feast or famine. Mostly hunting by myself, so no huge numbers to report, but limits are starting to come easier than they did for the first part of the season, even if it usually takes a couple of spoonies to finish up...

The geese in this part of the world are stinking ridiculous. Why go to Texas when I can actually get tired of killing geese right here? I stopped goose hunting weeks ago and I'm still whackin' em over duck spreads. And it's not that they don't learn, it's that there are that many geese in the area.

I agree on the feast or famine. Hunted alone and had ducks thursday but working to well a greenhead, widgeon, and snow goose. Surrounded by geese all afternoon should have killed some more. Watched a few deer thursday evening but didn't see any bucks. Saw lots of high ducks today, worked several groups, but they didn't like our blind location. I moved a sled blind late thursday and didn't get it brushed up or we would have killed more ducks today. Hunting just south of O'keefe.

Chad, I've got two Powerhunters on the way.

They get you up close and personal. If you want to try them next week, holler at me. I've never had any luck out of sled blinds.

I will give you a call this week sometime. I am probably not going to get hunting again until weekend after next. Gonna be hot and I don't see us getting any new ducks to soon.
