All I can say is the one I caught was not that big Chuckles. Gawd what a big fish. That looks to be near a hundred pounds. Big old Chit taste to large fish... I wouldn't feed one of those things to my enemy.

That fish chuckle posted is called a wels catfish. Can get up to 500 pounds. Live only in Europe. I'm not sure how they catch them but it looks like they're grabbin em. A 500 pound fish can damn near swallow a man.

As far as the big ones not eating good...hooey! I guarantee if you prepare the fish no matter what size they will taste just fine. We pull em on the Tenn Tom head straight to the camp, skin and fry......can't beat it!!

Maybe so mallard but I have tried them several times and they are too oily for me. You can mask any meat enough that it taste alright but I like the taste of fish and don't care for the strong taste and fat that is associated with large fish.

Well I will tell you what we do. Just try it and see. Take the fish and hang it by the head. Cut the tail off just above the base and let it bleed for about 20 mins. We then take the filet out almost like taking the backstrap out of a deer, remove every speck of red and there is not diff. The fish are so large that after wasting a little meat by clening it up you still have plenty to feed the masses........if that don't work.....just give up and that leaves more for me. You know it's probably the DDT in the fish your tasting anyway! Ha ha!
