Exactly why I stopped putting in for the draws...Some get drawn every year and others never get drawn..I stopped wasting my money since I am one that never gets drawn

Same here. The 2 in my group that DID NOT get drawn, included me.

sounds like they should institure a pref point system like other states have

Still waiting on July 13 for Alabama's drawing. I drew a tag the second year Alabama had a season and killed a decent gator.

Wife got her notification via email last night. Good enough for me! which is more preferred fish arrow or snagging? First time experience but got a place that is loaded down with gators. Anyone know the price of tanning a gator hide? got the perfect place to hang one!

85% of the ppl snag em....Me I like to shoot em. We have tried the rod and reel deal and we killed one that way. Only bad part about the bow is that you got to get real close to em. Which if he is a big one is a trick!!!

There is a preference points system......at least that's what they told me. I've applied every year but one and this is the first year that i've been drawn. It's the Northwest Zone though......I don't see how that many tags in this zone will get filled.

Our group got two sets of tags for NW and I'll be interested in seeing how many from NW get filled as well. Also curious how many apps the NW zone ended up with after the drawing extension.

I got the SE zone....this is the first time i've gotten drawn for it; lookin forward to it

Just found out one of us got the Pearl too. I guess we'll be in Jackson for the weekends and hit the Delta Lakes each evening during the week.

I didn't pull a tag again this year. Third year for me .its ok though, when y'all start sending me all these Gator heads to clean, Ill see all I want too. Good luck on your hunts

Yep. The new areas with less stalked gators will help though.

Snagging is more fun, but you need a second method...tough to throw over them when they are against grass/bank/vegetation. And don't even think about dragging a treble hook thru lily pads.
