Other than high water it has always seemed to me the prime areas for gigging were the bare, mud banks. Think about it...he can see what's coming a lot easier. I ain't never had any fears there was a snake around.
Man I could rant for days about those dumbazz snake grabbers messing up mine and duckkiller's bream bed one time. It's not even that flattering type of "them boys is crazy." It's the dumbest chit I have ever heard of...ever.

If'n ya wana have some real fun , leave the gig at home and use a jig pole with a popping bug or fly on it, just dangle it in front of the frog and hang on, a pound or 2 of pizzed off frog on the end of 3 feet of line gets interesting!
