Brad Locke is the biggest MSU homer around. The media coverage MSU gets in-state is very positive by comparison to other in-state schools and out-of-state. You guys don't know what bad coverage looks like anymore. They aren't even pouncing much on the NCAA investigation info. According to your beat writers, MSU is on cruise control to have a "special season". Brad Locke just penned such, as has the CL writer.

Ole Miss has Parish Alford, a former MSU beat writer, and big MSU fan, as its beat writer at the NE Daily Journal. He feels obligated to say at least two negatives for every positive in every article. And our CL beat writer couldn't give a rip about Ole Miss, but seems to be pretty fair, all things considered --- but, he ain't no homer. And our CA beat writer is Ron Higgins, who has historically penned many negative articles about Ole Miss over the years (although, he apparently likes Hugh Freeze and is uncharacteristically giving us some fairly positive coverage lately). Our beat writers have us pegged just a notch or two above Slippery Rock and Sewanee going into the season.

When Brad asks questions of Mullen, he is simply doing his job. If Mullen doesn't like the question, then he can say so and move on. There is no need for Mullen to act like a petulent child and walk out, or engage in such flippant and cryptic behavior as exhibited on that recent video clip that EVERYONE outside of MSU is making fun of ---why? because it is bizzare and creepy. He is showing a chink in his armor when he does such things. Its a sign of immaturity. Is Brad Locke a goober? Yep. But, that goober works for one of the largest newspapers in the state. And battling and fighting the sports media, the folks with the pen and the power of state-wide coverage, is a losing proposition. Why pick a fight with an MSU homer who covers your team in such a positive way?

Its just football. Take the media coverage with a grain of salt. No predictions they print really matter. Its what happens on the field that counts. And, its about to get started.
