I will say this, we were "supposed" to get blown out of this game but, we beat ourselves out of a W. Those inerceptions were plain out stupid. Just thrown up for anyone. And I dont care if some say they didn't bring their A-game, the rebel D came out swinging and pretty much contained and made the plays when needed.

To me it was like an under weight boxer taking on Tyson and not getting knocked out but forcing the win by decision. I am just proud of the improvement.

Go ahead and mark me down for a moral victory. I wasn't a W but I liked what I saw otherwise.

Personally, I don't stand with some of the others around here when it comes to "moral victories" when you consider what Mississippi has been through in the last couple of years. There definitely appears to be some clear improvement with that team and if Freeze can get playmakers in there things could be looking up in Oxford.

So Ole Miss should have won this game even though they only had 200 yards on offense and only had two drives the whole game they actually moved the ball. They threw three picks, dropped two because of Bama players colliding with each other. These interceptions were the result of pressure applied by the defense not just thrown by a QB standing in the pocket. Bama spent half of the fourth quarter purposefully killing the clock on a 7 minute plus field goal drive. This game was never in doubt and ever in question. As I said before I think the rebels are vastly improved from last year but if I read the stuff ole miss fans have been saying and not watched the game I would think the score was reversed and Ole Miss had 500 yards of offense and Bama had 150.

The rebels were doing some heavy hitting last night. Pretty impressive.

My favorite moral victory of the game, " we only lost by 2 TD's because the refs gave them a touchdown". Really? Did OM ever stop them at the goal line? Even if it was questionable, would they not have scored next play? I will say, the bears defense was scrappy last night, mostly the second half.

some hard hits on both sides, for sure! good to see the rebs drive in on the goal line stand...tough to stay up mentally after an immediate 99yd return for td, though!

definite progress by the rebs!

The QBs have GOT to learn to throw the ball away and not force plays. Bottom line. Other than that, I thought the Rebs looked great.

you'll be hard pressed to find any rebels who expected us to win. however, we got what we wanted, a hard fought effort and a competitive game. we gave them both.

after a dismal season like last ya can't blame us for looking forward on some positive signs of life, other than turnovers i think we all can agree, the rebs showed. it's gonna take time but i like where we're headed.

Actually, we havent been saying the game was seriously in question but if you had actually seen the game you could see that Bama never had full control until late. And if you will look at the stats bama didn't light up the board as far as yardage goes. It's actually pretty even when you take out the kick return. The rebel D stood tall against a vastly bigger and stronger offense.

As I said it wasn't a win but it was improvement, so Hotty Toddy!!!!

Rebel linebackers played like men! This from an avid Dawgs fan...Ole Miss will have better recruits next year and folks better pay attention and take care of business this year. I agree Bama came in flat, but still.... .
