hey 1234,

My Dogtra was at the door friday when I got in. Opened the box.......then the case.........and noticed something wasn't right. The antenna on the transmitter was over 6" long..........couldn't figure it out because the antenna on the 1200nc is very short. I closed the black case and flipped it over to look at the sticker on the bottom.......it stated " Dogtra 2000NCP"

Dogtra screwed up when they sent it to the retailer by putting a 2000ncp system in a 1200nc box. I thought about what to do for awhile and finally came to the conclusion that the right thing to do was for me to let Larry know what happened. Well, I did and Larry really didn't belive me.
And then he told me to keep it since Dogtra made the mistake......but I'm sending it back cause I don't like the bigger transmitter and antenna.....and Dogtra's footing the bill......

I think the only real difference between them ,besides the antenna and a larger transmitter ,is the mile long range. The way i look at it if my dog it that far away from me i have bigger problem than what a nick or burn can solve. You did the right thing it will come around to your benefit one day. Hope you enjoy that new collar by the way it is really HOT. My nephews can vouch for that for sure. HEHEHE

Thanks for all of the replies so far.I think I have decided to go with the dogtra becasue of the waterproof transmitter, but just one more question. What is the difference between the dogtra 1100nc and the 1200nc.

difference

Hey dawg-n-duck,
They are almost identical...... the difference being the transmitter.
the 1100 has a waterPROOF collar (receiver) & water -Resistant transmitter, but BOTH receiver & Transmitter on the 1200 are
WATERPROOF. Now you may not be as clumsy as me & get by without
dropping/knocking your transmitter in the water, but if you've ever stumbled over a log/stepped in a stump hole & dipped your waders, etc,
you don't have to worry about the 1200 not working if it gets dipped.

Thanks Super X, there have been a many a mornings like you have spoken of so i think the extra $50 spent on the 1200nc will be worth it just in case i happen to go swimming again next winter.
