The Rebels solidly won game one, State's bats were shut down.
2nd game.....dogs should have won......but give the Rebels credit, they did it on the scoreboard........3rd game, same deal....Bulldgos gave the Rebels everyting they got, shouldn't have been as close as it was.....frustrating......this is yet another series the Bulldogs should have taken 2, but only won a single game.
Here is what I DO like about these Bulldogs.......they are 5-6 deep in solid pitching, and have the ability to hit the ball as well as anyone. This Bulldog team, if they can pull it all together at the right time, can make a serious run.

I agree...uncharacteristic for the Dogs to put errors up on the scoreboard in those last two games...and Graveman just did not have his good stuff...this team is in games even when they are not playing their best. Hope they can have a good series against South Carolina and have a good tournament run to get some momentum and confidence going. This team is built for tournament play with their pitching. May and June could be a lot of fun if they can put it all together.

UM could have some success against LSU. Would not bet on it

, but the Tigers do seem a little more vulnerable as of late.

LSU won't pitch Aaron Nola this weekend...that's great for Ole Miss and ability to better their position...great situation

as for Saturday 2nd game...MSU definitely pressed the issue and I suppose it can be said that State "could have/should have" won...or that State let it slip...cause I give em fact that are scrappy at the plate and could've gotten a hit here or there to change some things...but overall I think it's hard to say a game Ole Miss was leading was a game State let slip away...I think it's more accurate to say if Ole Miss bullpen could have done half of their job in game 2 or 3 Ole Miss would've swept and State should be glad they got 1 game instead of getting swept, not that State should've gotten 2 adn only got 1....not an indictment on either team overall, but rather how things unfolded this past series....Ole Miss relievers tried to give up a 5 run lead in 3 innings in game 2, and they gave up a 6 run lead in game 3 and State let something slip away? ehhhh

Think Stitch was meaning we out hit the Rebels and certainly gave away some things with our defense and pitching...the two things that have been very consistent with this team that was uncharacteristic in games 2 and 3. You pound out 17 hits in an SEC game and you should win (game 2). You allow 5 runs off of 2 hits and eventually 6 runs off of 3 hits and you should lose (game 3) but they found a way to stop the bleeding and score enough to win. Like he said, give Rebels credit, they did it on scoreboard, but you have to think Dogs know they could have taken 2 of 3. ehhh
Why is Nola not pitching? Tired? Sore? Injured?

I think as an Ole Miss fan, you look at the leads you squandered throughout the weekend, realizing a couple good relief appearance and none of this is in question, and you think State is lucky to not have gotten swept...as a State fan, you look at what you could of/should of done with some situations and think you could have won 2 and Rebels are lucky to gotten a the series...doesn't really make a hill of beans how anyone views it, it's official and moving on to next games.
I think LSU has nothing to play for except just being competitive...can't catch Vandy, can't lose the West...locked in their seeding...Nola got high innings pitched due to all the complete games...good time for a rest. That's the story....truth is probably that with a bit of fatigue that need not be mentioned. I do believe if there was anything on the line, he'd get a start this weekend, don't think anything is wrong but as the devils advocate I also don't think Manieri does this for no reason other than just b/c of standings...he'd keep em all on schedule if Nola wasn't being effected by something somehow someway...

I was thinking same thing. You may not pitch him but a few innings, but keep him in his routine. Get him some work but also get him some rest.
