Let him play!
ROLL TIDE!
Of course, that is how the Tide rolls.

Yes because Alabama takes multiple players that have been kicked out of other schools. Oh wait that is Ole Miss.

They put in plenty of time for the program and at least they would have spending money and wouldn't have to get it other ways. Manziel does come from a family by all accounts is well enough off there was no need for this
Athletes do get paid like its a job. We get a check the 1st and 15th of every month from the school. Different schools do pay different amounts though. A lot of people don't realize this.

I disagree that they should be paid. First off, not all schools bring in the amount of money that an Alabama, LSU, Ohio State bring in for their program. Schools like Delta State, Arkansas State, ULM would not be able to pay the amount of the large football program schools and probably would not be able to pay them anything at all. Don't say, "Well, maybe only the big football schools should have to pay their players." Why? Why should they have to? Are these student-athletes not getting a top notch education? Afforded tudors at no cost to them? Afforded nice athletic facilities to study and/or do course work? I understand that a lot is asked of them on the field and in the classroom, but what about the student who has to get a loan and work a job just to get an education? What about the other sports such as basketball, baseball, lacrosse? What about women's sports? Do you pay them as well? They too are student-athletes. I assure you that Duke basketball does better than Duke football. Do you pay Duke basketball players, but not Duke football because dollar for dollar the basketball team is more profitable?
Money does not solve anything and never has.

With consideration to the $51 million in contracts and signing bonuses for last years NFL draft picks, maybe Alabama should treat football as a curriculum and charge the athletes tuition to attend professor Saban's class!
