I can't tell from the small pictures, but how did you armour your back fill at the bridge ends to ensure the river want erode it away next flood?
The bridge and poles are above banks. Meaning the water will have to come out of the banks to affect the backfill. The backfill is more to bring the road to the level of the bridge than support for the poles as the poles were planted in solid ground. I did put tin around the poles on the river side to keep the dirt from washing and devert the water away from the poles. I have never seen the water that high before but some claim they have. We'll see

See what you got me into? We miss you boys at the camp and I hope you two are doing well. You need to come by the place and let me show you around two years of planting trees and bulldozer work has changed the looks alot.

Ok, it's been a year or more. How's it working and would you change anything if you were doing it today?

Awesome. Can you reel it in and secure if you think the creek might flood and screw up the bridge?

Very cool. Only thing I'd add is some kind of railing system just in case. Something to prevent someone driving off the side if things get slick. (There might already be on there, I just can't tell from the pic.)
