I think you just need a straight wall barrel and cut it down to whatever height you want otherwise I can't see how you could get the gelatin out of it in one piece.woody wrote:ah ha! well I am in the brainstorming stage of trying to figure out something cheap that could be used as mold for ballistics gel. I'm just using the cheapo gelatin from grocery. Nothing I have or have found is wide, tall, and deep enough unless I make multiple small molds and stack together. Considered a Lock &Lock bread box, but cant find 2 of them.
Any suggestions? Sorry for the highjack. I can take somewhere else.
Have you asked the guy selling them if he'll deliver? If you're willing to spend $100 to have them delivered what difference does it make who delivers them? Make him the same offer and let him do the leg work to find a driver.Wildfowler wrote:I would like to take this time to make my request again. Maybe I didn't explain it clearly?
I live in central Mississippi, the Jackson metro area. I happened to travel to Humphreys County weekly from my job.
Someone mentioned earlier that the barrels I am looking for available in Ponotoc for $18 each. I don't particularly want to drive all the way to Ponotoc for an $18 barrel if I don't have to? That's when I had the bright idea to pay an ole miss college student $50 for delivering them to me.
In my earlier request I had actually relied on someone doing the math to realize there was an easy chance to make a little bit of money for simply delivering these barrels from North Mississippi to me somewhere along my route in central Mississippi.
I stated that I would exchange a brand-new hundred dollar bill for three of these $18 barrels. That $40 + difference ought to cover your fuel expense coming home for a weekend to see your parents one weekend? And depending on your salesmanship you may be able to haggle the store owner out of a few extra dollars per barrel by purchasing more than one. I will round up the delivery fee up to $50.
Have not considered asking the store owner to deliver. Worth a phone call.JaMak84 wrote:Wildfowler wrote: Have you asked the guy selling them if he'll deliver?
