Yes I believe the far left, including our president, has an agenda. I agree with 3spop. if you disagree with the left about glorifying homosexuals then you are a bigot and a homophobe. If you disagree with them about abortion you hate women. If you disagree with them about gun control then you want children murdered. If you disagree with them about so many democrats on government assistance and setting on their lazy a@@ you are a racist.

I am all for equal rights for every citizen. Key word here, EQUAL. I treat gays equal, I treat blacks equal. You will never see me mistreating someone because of the color of their skin or because they choose to sleep with other men. But the left don't want them treated equal. The left wants them glorified and treated better than a straight person. You think Jason Collins was treated equal when he came out? No he was glorified and was on all the talk shows, even got a call from the president. Was that equal? Do you think our war heroes coming home with severe injuries or, heaven forbid, in a casket, are getting treated as well as Jason Collins? Do you think Michael Sam wants to be treated equal? How many 7th round draft picks get treated the way Sam has been treated? No he wants to be treated better than the other 7th round draft picks. He has been made out to be a hero, even compared to Jackie Robinson. He wants to milk his lifestyle for every penny he can. That's the agenda of the left and the left media. They want to glorify everything that is wrong with this country and be treated better, not equal, than the average hard working straight American.

No I don't want my 7 year old son watching Sportscenter to see two men making out. I don't want my two young daughters to see two women making out either. That does not make me a bigot or a homophobe either. That makes me a good parent. The kind of good parent that made this country great. But not the kind of good parent that the left wants to glorify.

I don't want to know what the queers are doing. Don't want to see it.
But something in me says our "I don't care" and "it has no impact on me" attitudes are the big part in the decline of Christian values in our country.
I am no zealot, but I have my beliefs.

I wanted to say just what you said Teul! I didn't because I am not much on internet fussing, but I think too many people take the attitude of I don't care what you and yours do, but just stay away from me and mine! Not a good thing in my opinion. The minorities shouldn't be allowed to run over the majorities. If it continues, eventually the majority will become the minority if it hasn't already happened in a lot of cases.

:( This is becoming the sad reality. While employing the "I don't care as long as it doesn't cause a problem for me and mine" attitude we have unfortunately passively accepted their behavior and allowed it to become acceptable. Now, they don't just want it to be acceptable they want you to openly acknowledge that you agree with the behavior. All the while, you're not allowed to be openly Christian and display those beliefs. We are told to love the sinner and not the sin, well its time to start calling out the sins (all of em, mine included) for what they really are, SINS!

There's a several page article about gay athletes and how special and cool it is in People, one of the most self absorbed "hey look at me not living in reality, but I'm just like you piles of garbage out there.

What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. (Isaiah 5:20 NLT)

Agree, but it is hard to point at the speck in other peoples eye while we ignore the log in your own eye. I mean if you stared too long at the pics of the girls in this thread you are "lusting" and just as guilty as the homosexuals. At least that is how I feel. It is hard for me to judge others when I am still struggling with sin in my own life. Who ever is sin free, shall cast the first stone.. I know I don't feel right casting stones..

It's tough to balance..

You are exactly right, but we are not fighting for TV time to tell the world that we love half naked women. We are supposed to be attracted. Lust is crossing the line.

Nice, at least I can stare AND FONDLE this one without getting in too much trouble with the wife, but sometimes I wonder if I don't have an addiction to guns.... 8)

I cannot believe that this thread is still getting posts. The only people who are glorifying Michael Sams are the very shallow, "Hey-Look-At-Me", talking heads of the media puppets. The problem with that is there are a lot of weak and impressionable people who are going to actually listen to these liars and think that what they say makes sense.

It doesn't. And when reality hits these weak and impressionable people in the teeth, they are going to scream for help from those of us who actually know better.

Should two dudes kissing on television bother us? Hell yes it should! Should gays be punished for who they love? Not by us. Should gay people be afforded the same rights as the rest of us? Absolutely. Should they get special rights? Of course not.

Now, what gets me is the idea of "Gay Marriage" being a "right". This is laughable! If you think about it, all 'rights', by definition, are reserved for individuals. You have the right to throw a punch in anger, but you don't have the right to cause harm to others. Not only that, but marriage is a religious sacrament. All religions have as one of their tenets, marriage. Another of their tenets is that homosexuality is wrong. At best, homosexuality is 'not optimal', and at worst, it is an abomination. And this is true for every single religion, even with Buddhism in Thailand. And for the record, the Buddha of Thailand is the gayest god on the planet.

As a Christian, I am required by my God to love them. This does not mean that I agree with them or their lifestyle. This does mean that I will pray for them. It also means that I will be strong in my faith and be a witness to them. Not in a "Hit-them-over-the-head-with-a-27-pound-Schofield-Reference-Bible" type of witness, but one that shows them the love that God has for them.

Ok. I'm off my soapbox now.

Sorry for the rant.
