I agree, but I can't seem to find a technical difference (watts, amps, etc) in the high dollar LEDs and the cheap ones. I assume they are the same "systems" but cheaper board components. Didn't realize they had so many.

The difference is in the wiring and the ability to shed heat.LED pulls a lot of voltage and light equals heat. The ability to disburse that heat will allow the light to burn for a long time.
Read up on them before you make a purchase. I'm not saying go buy the most expensive one but if this one light bar is half the price of another but you have to buy 2 to reach the 20,000 hours of burn life they are suppose to burn then you probably should've bought the more expensive ones first to save you the headache later.

I didn't get to technical. I kept it simple because in reality I could show you in person china LED's and American LED's. I have both

I want a pair of bright but small profile ones to use as reverse lights. Visualizing something that will sit on either side of my receiver hitch and not hang any lower. Is there such a thing? Like 2x2?

I bought a Cree 20" to mount on my 38hp tractor roll bar. Will let you know about it. If its good, plan to buy a 10" for my Polaris ranger.

I just recently bought a 20" bar and 2 7" ones for my jeep. They are very bright. I bought them from amazon and they had good reviews. I haven't had them long enough yet to tell about quality which these won't get used a whole lot but I did order another one for my ranger tho.

i'm about to buy one off amazon/ebay. there are several brands on there and of course there's plenty of good reviews and bad reviews for all the brands. what brands are ya'll using on your boat? going to buy one that's 20-30 inches.

just ordered one.. it's an "eyourlife". I researched them all day. it was 75 bucks. it's 126W/10.5 amp with 42 led's. i don't expect it to be as bright as a rigid or seelite, but it is the cree led so it should still be plenty bright enough. it had pretty decent reviews. i will wire it through my trolling motor plug and have it on an inline fuse. will update with pictures, and with the review and let you guys know if it's a waste of 75 dollars. only drawback that i could find was the led were 30000 hour vs the expensive lightbars that had 50000 hour led.
