So is that the old Willow Point. If so you should be able to kill a Pope and Young every year.

What's the story with Willow Point. Didn't know it had changed hands.

Heard one of the members of Henderson Island died there yesterday of a heart attack. Any truth to that?

Man, that sucks. My condolences. I didn't know the guy, but heard he had passed this morning through a mutual acquaintance (though not confirmed). He was an avid outdoorsman to say the least - offshore and on.

He was also a member of my club - which is not Henderson Island. A good guy, for sure.

Please keep his family in your prayers. They have gone through a lot. When a mom has to bury both her sons and a grandson before The Lord calls her is an awful thing for a mother to deal with. He definately lived life to the fullest. RIP Johnny Wayne.

Are you in Ward Lake?

I'm still amazed this happened. I just sat down with him the other night and talked for a couple of hours. He's so laid back and always on the go, would figure his heart was a lot more healthy than mine. He definitely went out the way he would have wanted......in the great outdoors.

What happened to Johnny's son. I read his obit on his Fishing Team's facebook and his daughter said he is survived on by his mom, wife and daughter. Said he his brother and son had already passed. I cannot imagine what his wife and mother must be feeling right now.

Johnn'y son, Jonathan took his own life when we were in High School. We were pretty good friends. He was my brothers age.

Mr. Johnny was a super fine man. He was also in good shape and active. His dad and brother had heart issues and from what I understand, he's kept an eye on his because of this. He will be missed. He loved hunting and the outdoors and was having a brand new Viking sportfishing boat built since his caught fire last year. He loved to offshore fish and had become one of the best in the Gulf the past few years.
