My only question about this game is will the goal posts come down with a MSU win?

Im going to say yes. And if they do, I'll be right there with them and mailing the school a check the following Monday.

yep, harder for "goal post" boys to beat the crowd (before they can unbolt to collapse it) with the end zone club access to the field so close to the north post.

I sure hope our fans don't rush the field and tear down the posts. In my opinion I believe it would serve our team/school better to act like
we have been there before.....even though we haven't. Not a knock at UM or any other school that rushes the field over a win, but I think
we should celebrate in the stands and let the team do it's victory song with the fans.

And second questions do we go to number 1 with a win? I guess it would probably depend on the margin of victory and how FS plays.

If we win by more than two touchdowns, we are #1. If we win by 3 and FS runs over Syracuse we will be #2. I like number 2 better.
Less pressure and we still have never been that high so I'll take either one.

chickens before the eggs
carriage before the horse
storming the field before a W
#1 before an impressive win

.................. y'all need to slow the flock down!

:P

Two evenly matched teams will play it out on the field Saturday. When the dust clears, there will be no tie.
HF advantage to MSU.

Said nothing about who would win in that post, just if the winner would be #1 in the poll. Believe me no real State fan gets too caught up in things to know that we can't find a way to screw things up...but it is nice being where we are :D

I hate even thinking about "What if's" but... We are number 3 in the nation. WE ARE NUMBER 3 IN THE NATION! YOU DON'T TEAR DOWN GOALPOSTS WHEN YOU ARE NUMBER 3 IN THE NATION!!! I don't give a flip if you haven't beat the team in 100 years. If you are number 3 in the nation you don't tear down goalposts!

"We talkin bout practice. We talkin bout practice. We're not talkin bout the game. We talkin bout practice."

End of rant. :D

The better team won today. We looked like crap all day and could not capitalize when the opportunities presented themselves. Too many penalties and a few BS calls...oh well.

Keep it rolling MSU and see how far you can take this ride.

Congrats y'all.
If any team deserves it y'all do. Pretty sloppy game on both sides, but y'all were less sloppy when it mattered most. Not a good day at all that started with turnovers on our first two possessions. CGM lost his cool (which is rare) on the BS offensive pass interference call. Even our OC busted his booty on the sidelines. Can't win em' all. Good 2 weeks for MS football. Congrats again to both teams! Keep it going.
