Planted some tecomate lablab plus one year and it grew nicely and the deer loved it.

+1. I got mine through sanders. I'm sure if you ask around at local seed retailers someone can get them.

Never have tried it. I plant beans in my duck hole and get a 2 for 1 deal with deer summer food and duck winter food. I get my Eagle beans through Soecialty Seed.
White and red clovers fill in my green gap early fall and early spring between soybeans in summer and cereals/ winter peas in winter.

I hear ya. I'm in the process of over engineering my operation to make it more simple. Sounds legit....I'll report back with progress in November.

Thanks for all the info guys, I'm sure I'll be planting several different things in different areas since it's my first year but this gives me some starting points for sure.
