I do remember the Mike Gunn story. I think about when I want to do something that I wouldn’t want to be filmed. Ha! Wasn’t Mike Gunna senator at one time? Also the guy that would dress up as a confederate solder to stand on the street corner asking for signatures to keep the Ole Miss flag?

When we have that porch party I’ll tell the story about what me go from disliking the geese to hating them. It involves a lady in Bay Point subdivision.

I knew this was being discussed here and when I saw the condition of that yard I just could not resist taking a photo. There are dead patches of grass that whole yard down there, not just in the one frame of the photo.

Had to throw my shoes away also.

Haha
That's why we gonna have to open up the Colony Crossing WMA this season. Them d@mn geese will amble across 463 during morning rush hour when real adults are going to work.

Once I had this Soccer Granny get real mad at me for blowing my horn at those poor defenseless creatures when I was taking my little angel to daycare. Oh, she gave me a dirty look from her huge 4 wheel drive SUV import, with all the 'Ole Miss' decals, bumper stickers, and other emblems all over it. You know the kind of vehicle I'm talking about; Immaculately clean, and will never go "off-road" unless she ignores the rear-mounted camera and happens to back over the petunias next to the mailbox.

All I’ve got say about geese and traffic is those stupid SOBs better move quickly to get out of in front of me because I am not slowing down to avoid hitting any of those feathered turd factories.

Knowing my luck a wing bone will punctured my tire.

If I am doing my math right its been 55 days. The geese still haven't come back into my yard but they are starting to get closer to the boundaries.

61 days now. I would have never thought it. Those suckers are way smarter than I thought. I guess it's like a dog who gets place sensitive.

We do have some ducks who have come in the yard from time to time after a yard rain. I guess they didn't see the original goose massacre.

So, what you are saying is that if we miss one of these 'majestic creatures' while out on a hunt (or while taking our little angel to school/daycare), we won't have any more trouble from that particular animal for the rest of the season. Good to know.

65 days approximately. They apparently grieved, mourned and moved on from the loss of their loved one. Now they are back to crapping all over my driveway. Moral to this story, waterfowl remember for quite sometime possibly for the whole season so when you shoot make it count.

Darn! That means don’t go burn up your rest area on the last day of the season. No wonder they didn’t come back?
