now thats a good point go24... it took coach phillip fullmer to show the rest of the free world how bamer "Did It"

weedmaster he won't talk bout the shortcomings of the bama program.. he's not man nuff... instead,, he'll have sumtin witty to say bout coach sherill or maine.. never once would he be man nuff to admit his own programs shortcomings...

i dare say that program (bama) had cheated far more that any of us would wanna believe...

If you had done your homework the other day while you were obsessing over anything I might have said in the past (still haven't figured out how to use that search feature yet, eh Einstein?) you might realize that I have been very critical of the Alabama program and its administration over the years.

I'm far more of a man in recognizing the shortcomings of our athletic department over the years than you could ever be. Then again, thats not saying much.

Bama cheated. M$U cheated. OM cheated. TN cheated. Everybody cheats. But its a hell of a lot better to be a cheater that wins! :)

Why say anything about losing to Maine when you can say something about losing to Vanderbilt? I can mix it up. God knows M$U has given me plenty of material.

So, your team is good at cheating is what I hear you saying :)

The Crim$on tide is ahead of MSU and others in many categories. You remind us of that with arrogance and flair quite often. We now know they pulled out ahead in another category- wealthy alumni being convicted of rackateering (or whatever the crime was) while trying to buy a player. I must say Bama holds the record there too. Dang, I just hate to lose... 8)

Eli Gold will have yet another good stat to bloviate on when the season cranks up this fall

You know if they could get Joe Willie juiced up and on the sidelines with a mic the broadcasts would be much more exciting. There just ain't alot for Eli to say while Minnesota is waxing your team's... Now Namath with a mic and a few cheerleaders...well, Bama could lead the league in some other stats too

Peace out :D

Oh, go24....you're just mad because your hero is a gay NASCAR driver. What does that make you?

Whatever the case, it must be tough being forever in the shadows of the mighty Crimson Tide....whichever the category.

P.S. Thanks for the newsflash on the Memphis businessman. I sure hope they don't fire Dubose.

Please continue on with ridiculing yourself!

And stop making fun of Joe Namath. It really hurts my feelings.

Here's an idea, maybe Mike Price can come in this season and join the broadcast team. He will be a real asset to the broadcast. He and Joe Willie can go out on the town the night before the game...Mike knows some great places to party  I'm sure Joe can get a kiss at one of these places...

Maybe they should spend time with Shula. He really needs some self confidence and esteem building. His insecurity is soooo obvious. The Croom Award just was too much of a threat to his credentials and "control" of the head coaches' office. Poor little Mike, let's get him out on the town with the boys, so he too can feel good about himself. You know, like Joe Willie and University of Alabama Head Coach Mike Price :D .

Roll Tide

alright--tttie then weedmaster:::

let me ask you one direct question, do you (weedmaster) fell that the glorry days have past for bama????? yes or no will be sufficient....

i don't see how its gonna get any easier for bama... first off ya got Auburn over there celebrating their undefeted season, secondly, ya got a good mix of secondary schools that are catching up with bama...i.e. UAB and Troy....

how long will it take the bama nation to accept goin to the weedeater bowl and the rock music bowl.....

oh yea by the year 2010 both Jacksonville ST and UNA will be playing div1-a ball... bama's gonna end up like miss... with too many schools for the population...

good luck in next years lower tier bowl game... see ya at hooters with some strippers..

He really needs some self confidence and esteem building. His insecurity is soooo obvious.

Yeah. He didn't seem to worried about M$U in November. 30-14 a$s whooping. You do understand the concept of the scoreboard, don't you? Expect more of the same.

The only insecurity is from folks like yourself. You've lived with it your entire life. All the way up to last saturdays basketabll defeat. In fact, there is a reason this thread is near 3 pages- or any other thread I get involved with pointing out the obvious. If what I say wasn't true, it wouldn't be worth a response. But for some reason, you guys keep coming back for another schooling.

You can't accept the meat of the argument which is --you have NOTHING to show. Your program bites, you play in a high school stadium, your campus is ugly, you have no talent, and Starkville is a dump. Not to mention, on a personal level you are infatuated with a gay NASCAR driver. But thats another story in itself.

go24, I would suggest you seek help in the areas of pride and making logical points. You seem to lack both. Not to mention you are a little slow on the uptake.

do you (weedmaster) fell that the glorry days have past for bama?

Yes. I think those days ended for every school when scholarship reductions went to 85. You won't see any school dominate on the level Alabama did back in the late 60's -70's. (although USC seems to be quite the dynasty now- but that another story). Its just the way things are now. For the record, I've never stated that we would.

However, I do know that we are in a hell of alot better position to compete on a higher level than some schools [cough, cough]. Last time I checked --pay attention now-- you can't predict the future. But, I'm very confident that Alabama will continue to dominate the lower tier MS schools. I'm very confident that once the probation period is over (just got back a full slate of scholarships), we will be competing for the SEC Championship and BCS bowls. Take that with a grain of salt for all I care.

Who could blame Alabama fans for wanting to cherish their memories of the past? Thats what everyone does (when they have something to be proud of.) Quite frankly, I'm more of a 'live for the present day' type of guy. It's fun to recollect success of yesterday and its impossible to live in the future. I'm more concerned about what we do in spring practice and who wil be our 2nd string QB in august. I'm not worried about Troy, UAB, or any school in MS for that matter.

I know what its like to walk out of the Sugar Bowl when my school won a NC. I know what its like to walk out of the Georgia dome as a SEC Champion. I know its frustrating that you have never had that feeling. You may one day have that success, but I wouldn't bank on it.

If you want to label me and any Alabama fan as a 'has-been' feel free....it's better than being a nothing!

Do you have any other questions or should I expect more of the same?

It's great to be from Alabama.
