"If he has to kick them off the team, which he has done, I hope he gets rid of all of them! "
Yes indeed, they have all been suspended from the team for the summer. That'll show em.

And that starting linebacker was not really the one who hit anyone. IF he was at the scene, he was only there to assist in breaking up the rukus and to counsel with them in the hope that he could turn their lives around. ... Actually though, he really was not even at the scene, come to think of it ..... yes, in reality, witnesses will swear that he was visiting his sick grandmother on that very night .... yeah, that's our story and we're sticking to it.

bigwater...they are just kids...to be held to the same standards as everyone else. Does a University announce it in the newspaper everytime a scholarship recepient of any type has a run in with the law! I'm not saying they shouldn't be punished...but held to a higher standard than the rest of us...BULL!!! Yes, there is an expectation of scrutiny with celebrity, however these kids will make mistakes, and they should be allowed to pay the price and be done with it...but, this ain't a perfect world....
By your logic...a student on an academic full ride should lose their scholly if they get into a scuffle with a fellow student right, or are caught drinking beer underage? After all they are a representative of the University and are recieving a "free" education, simply because they are offering the school something they want...
