The level of rise and fall of the pearl below the dam is determined by computer!! They have sensors that detect amount of rainfall up north(say at Carthage etc) and when the river reaches a certain stage then the gates are adjusted accordingly!! may get no rain in the jacfrica area but if a big rain falls north then they will have to open up more gates to allow for the runoffs etc to keep the rez at a certain level!! I know this doesn't help much in planning because it may rain in Carthage one day but may be three days before the water reaches a certain level in jackfrica before the gates are open!!!!

At least you Jackson people can drive by. I'm down here in Collins so gotta hear/post on a forum for info. Checking the fishin report helps most times.

But I got an idea, why not call the "control house" on Spillway Road and ask the dispatch. Would they frown on this. All they gotta do is look around for you. The number is in the book. From experience with security guards/ gates at industries I learned the value of an occasional box of donuts/bag of sausage and biscuits every now in then; sure helps relations. Too far for me but might work for some... Haven't tried the number yet....

that is info i'd like to know ahead of time or atleast the night/morning of !!!
its sorta like a piece of vital info needed... i guess you could compare it to knowing whether or not a lake is private or public... that is some purty important info don't ya think ? *cough*cough*cough have a nice day Bill Dance
