How are things at the scatters this year? That's definitely not the place to run into those guys.

Saw the same thing happen on white lake road in crowder, a jeep pulled up, a guy gets out cuts loose on something and drives off, my blind was 100 yards on the other side of the road.

Actually, I hunt up around Minter City and there is a trailer over around phillip back behind those grain bins that has an old primer grey el camino with slick centered mud grips on the back every now and then. I ain't never seen the dog, but I didn't stop and ask any questions either.

I knew some of those boys from those parts when I was young. Some of them boys that grew up going to the church in Money were worst poaching outlaws I ever saw, and hell they were only 14-16 yrs old.

I know we had fella worked for us one time out in those parts that walked a warden to his truck at gunpoint and invited him to not come back... and he didn't. So yes, actually, they can get away with it. There is not doubt in my mind.

Watch your stuff at the public launches, and watch your back in those parts.

Snapp,
They prolly saw those pics that Bill Collector posted of our hunt. I'm surprised they could scrape up the gas money to drive that far. But then again, it was a free hunt to them. Sounds like we sent you the wrong kind of clients. Good luck catching them.

I just showed Kenny, my head scout, the photo posted earlier. He thinks that's it without a doubt ... mud tires and all. Where did the photo come from and who does it belong to?

Talked with one of the area enforcement officers this a.m. when we finished our hunt. He said they had received reports in the Little Rock office about two other complaints further south, but they both described the gray El Camino, so it was not a Ranchero.

I would venture to say that if these jokers get another call or two in to Little Rock office, a person(s) may get some cash from the poacher tip hotline number for turning them in.

The turds keep road shootin ducks on my ground and we catch um and they'll find out what a tough "Old" redneck can do.

Guys, it's just not right. Heck, I would rather you sneak in and give the ducks a sporting chance than shooting them from the road side ... but ... repeat BUT ... that does not mean I'm giving anyone permission to sneak in either

My oldest son, oldest son-n-law and myself hunted the River Field this a.m. Had a fantastic shoot, but no El Camino ... we were ready if they had come by. Beware ... Kenny had my little Toyota hid in the bushes and I GTD you ... it will keep up with them anywhere they want to travel ... especially with Kenny behind the wheel!!!

So, where do you really think these guys live ... and where did you get the photo of their rig????

Hey Don Miller!!! If you know anything about this, get ahold of me of the board :x

I agree with Bustin Ducks. I find it unimaginable that they could get away with that stuff.

But bear in mind. They are from Tally and things are a little different around here.

I still dont believe they could get away with half that stuff.

snapp, if i resisded closer towards you id come and help you out. i know the feeling when stuff that belongs to you gets stolen. its happened to me a few times. ( not the same thing though)

something i might consider is high fencing around your property. or around enough of an area to where their el camino couldnt get through.

that was actually over a small herd of deer or two, the ole boy looked just like a young Phil Roberston in the late 70's before the back woods ark look took off. Didn't talk much, just killed to feed the family winter summer winter, reloaded to save money, and didn't give a $#!+ who you were. If you came out there to watch him, you can bet he was there first and watchin' you. Kind of like tryin' to walk a bob cat down in a hard wood bottom. And, I promise that situation lasted for about five years before they pressured him out of state. But, he never got the ticket.

As for the El Camino Crew, don't know, but a few people from years ago fit that bill to a tee. And, wouldn't surprise me.... I saw one them boys with fat nasty little kid at the Florewood catfish rodeo. There's another generation on the way.
