Oak Tree is just like any other family owned outdoors store. The service is always wanting. Not unlike the store in Greneda. If your not a buddy forget it.

I have followed the threads on the Mean Mallard etc etc....Never been there can't comment...... but I have never been in Oak Tree Outdoors when they were not bend over backwards freindly hes is usally jumping around helping folks as best as he can from my experiences there and will cut ya some slack on stuff... try to get that else where..... Tommy Bronson's its a nice place I just can't pay 10 20% higher price but they do have some nice high end stuff...

With the local competition from the big boys around I doubt very seriously customer service is lacking......

anyway I'll will pass the Prozac's around and spend my money with the local folks whenever possible!

Dowdle Sports on Germantown Road in Cordova area has some hunting stuff left they are closing out. Actually all their camo & knifes are 40% off, have buy 2 get 1 free on left over steel shot and are trying to get rid of all their firearms. Some of hunting stuff has already been moved to back storage, but sure they would pull something out if they had what you wanted.

I happen to be friends with Bart, and have been for about 10 to 12 years. Some folks have complaints about him and his store, some like his store. Heck some like his store and still have complaints. Every time I have ever walked in the door, whether Bart is there or not, someone has asked me if I needed any help. Some folks will complain that "I went in there and they didn't have such and such...well, its January and he probably is sold out of some bowhunting items that wouldn't be justified to re-stock this time of year. Steel shot...well, season is something like 8 or 9 days from ending...supplies are getting low everywhere. It's not his fault that YOU didn't buy enough steel shot early in the season.
Don't get me started on the episode my wife experienced at another sporting goods store in the southaven area. They were very quick to resolve it, but it still cost em nearly $600 in returned merchandise in the end.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
