Aw, they probably started him late so that he would excel in sports! Although, I don't think you can play high school sports in TN after you turn 20, he better do well the rest of the way through!

Give the kid a break. I was 12 in the 5th grade. He could've had a late birthday(which will make you fall into the next class with people almost a year younger than you are) and been held back a year. That ain't so bad.

Heck! I ain't no genuis but I was 13 when I got out of 8 grade and started (th. grade that way as my b-day is late dec.!!!!!!

Seeing as how you can't start 1st grade nowdays until you are 6 by like May, someone with a late birthday would be put back until the next year.

Mudsucker, you started school a year early. You must've been 5 in the first grade.

Mudsucker, you ever suck any big flatheads up thru that big dredge of yours?? How do you keep trash and logs and stuff from stoppin' up your pipe??

I do not know about big flatheads as we are usually too far down by the gulf, but I have seen a 3 1/2' redfish come out of the overboard discharge whole and able to swim away after his shock wore off! We clean wood and stuff out of our dragheads all the time but never had the pumps cloged as there is steel grate at the inlet (or bottom) of the draghead!

Guys when we go and every other person I know, we do not run stumps and logs. We cut 55gallon barrell in half and cut a hole in the top. Sink them and place them in a row. Put you foot over the hole and let the other guy go under. These fish are not over 25lbs. To get bigger fish you need a hot water heater or a bathtub. You better be ready for a ride if you run one of those. You can fill a few ice chest up in a hurry if your barrells have not been run by some jackass.

Kealhoffer, you do know that the regulation changed last year to only allow wooden boxes to be placed in public waters, don't you?
