wait until the bank watchers drop that rubber snake in your canoe or raft, it will make you leave that sucker and lose all your beer.

Have a pair and get canoes.... hehehe...

Although Stano is right, the cold water, threat of injury due to "tumping", you looking at other women in bathing suits, and being completely drunk can bring out the WORST in a significant other!

I've been up there every year for the past 6 years, usually on the 4th and then one time after that every year. I personnaly like the canoe, but from the way you talk I'm a little smaller than you big guy. The only downfall to the raft is the paddling at the end of the river. Hard to get one of those things going on that long stretch of calm water....especially when your sloppy drunk and tired. after the s-curve it will be pretty calm. one tip for ya though that I learned several years ago..the best cooler you can take on that river is one of those igloo water coolers that has the screw on top. this way if it falls out of the raft none of your beer will spill out. This cooler will hold about 28-30 beers if you arrange them right. If you stay at Many Islands go camp behind the store, its a little calmer there than on the hill.

One of those bag coolers works extremely well. You can zip it up and it will float an hold all your beer if you turn over. Get one of those Funyaks that you sit on top of, and it doubles as a backrest. Don't worry about being overwieght in that thing either, I'm a good 250lb and it didn't give me any trouble.

It wasn't me Kev. We had a good time but I have never been so ready to get off the water in all my life. A little bit of Spring River will go a long way. BTW, I got to meet Leland the beer can collector. Saw a raft full of fags waring nothing but super hero underware.  :x The fruit loops were lucky they didn't get killed. I laughed my booty off, them ol Arkie Rednecks started a "faggots go home chant" that lasted for a mile or two then someone knifed their raft and they had to walk back. I've never laughed so hard in all my life. :D

I fished up there once, and floating on an inflatable "anything" while consuming large quantities of beer seemed to be the order of the day. Aluminum hatch was is full swing by 10am and lasted all afternoon. Saw some grown folks float by using nothing but floaties on their arms...others on rubber duckies.

Hey, why not be original and go down the river floating on a bag of decoys  .

Have fun.
