I have one of the Sportstands. Have had it since they came out about 6 or 7 years ago. It works well in different situations. I usually use a rope ratchet or rachet strap to secure it to a tree. The tree stand bottom is limited to a tree that is small at the bottom. won't work in big cypress or tupelo. It will extend enough to get your dog out of the water if you can wade. Have also used in fields where we set up in tall weeds to get the dog up so they can mark the birds. Whats $180 to take care of your hunting partener.

GOTCHA YA!!!!!!!!!!! cheer up dude one day you find that ole bottom in sumbody's truck and get dat dude back fer sure good luck wif new stand i likes my avery stand dont use it much but when i do it is handy dandy fer sure gots 3 of dem things (avery stands) if ya ever needs to borrow or even wanna rent one
